THE 40s...

Here's another EXCLUSIVE batch of pics from my dad's collection... Look carefully, an follow the thumbs, as there are some great pics in this bunch...

This appears to be a 1940 Ford Deluxe, complete with what appears to be that optional bumper guard...
This appears to be a 1941 Pontiac...
  Not sure about this one...
  Here's a 1937 Chevy....
This is clearly a 1940 Buick...
You can just barely make out the 1941 Buick in the background... This one has a 2-tone paint job... Once again, just ordinary people posing with their cars....
  Big 1941 Packard....
  Big 1941 Packard....
"Ask the Man Who Owns One"....
  Is this a Dodge?....
Guy hanging out at a gas station....
This appears to be another 1940 Buick....
Here's that big Packard again, this time with a trailer...
  Same...
  Same...
This appears to be the same Packard in the background....
This appears to be in front of a mausoleum....
That looks a lot like a 1941 Pontiac....
  Early pedal car....
Fabulous 1947 Cadillac Convertible, circa 1950?....
This is a great pic... This is snapshot through the window of a Cadillac dealership in 1949.... Click the thumbnail...
  Here's a used car lot, circa 1949....
I love this photo... Here's a great 1946, or 1947 Packard Clipper, in front of a typical postwar home... Follow the thumbnail for the 56K version, or for the jumbo version of this image click HERE...
This guy looks a lot like Prince Charles... He's posing with his 1946-1948 Lincoln Continental Convertible....
This is amusing... Check out that hat.... I'm guessing his dad worked at this gas station....
This appears to be a 1941 Hudson...
  Another view of the Hudson...
  Somebody's front yard....
This is the great GM Futurliner, shot in 1941 at Forest Park.... I sent this photo to the guys working on the Futurliner restoration... They pointed out that the car on the display at left is a curved dash Olds.....
  Close up of the Futurliner....
That's a Hupmobile on the right... Notice the taillight....
Another great pic from my dad's collection... This is someone's funeral, but at least he/she got carried away in a Packard!
BINGO... Awesome photo... Somebody has spilled a load of lumber... It appears to be a Mac... But, if you look closely, while this is a VERY early truck, you'll see that the photo was actually taken sometime in the 1940s......
This appears to be a 1949 Oldsmobile with some hillbillies posing in front...
This one appears to be a 1941 Pontiac....
Sweet Chevy... It even has fender skirts...
I can't quite make out what kind of car this is, but it has the popular white beauty rings, which were very popular after the war....
  Early Studebaker....
I have no idea as to what kind of cars these are....
  Someone's grandmother with a truck....
