I've always been fascinated by rotted out old cars... Over the years, the government has set up programs to deal with automotive salvage yards, which is a real shame for old car restorers.  Over the last 20 years, countless cars have been destroyed by such programs, but I can remember going to lots of junkyards as a kid, and spending hours searching for parts for our cars, or sometimes, just taking pictures of the relics... Here are a few I ran across recently, shot in 1981.... I wish I had taken many more, as the owner had a huge collection.  He supplied local car guys with lots of stuff over the years, but after his death, I suspect these all went to the crusher...
