THE JIM MEAGER COLLECTION...

Back around 1979, we went on a little afternoon cruise with a local car club.  The final destination was the Meager Collection.  The owner had been a Chevrolet dealer for many decades, and he had one Chevy from every year dating back to 1934.  Most were good original cars that he had been unable to sell.  He had so many cars, they were literally hanging from the rafters... Of particular interest was the 1975 Chevy Caprice Classic convertible, which was one of the very last to come down the assembly line.  He took this car and sealed it inside a trailer... I think it had Nitrogen pumped in to keep the car from oxidizing... Pretty extreme stuff... Anyway, years later these cars all showed up at Auburn, and rolled across the auction block.

Here we are on our way to the collection...
We stopped over at a local park for a few minutes...
Quite a few people came out for this special event...
  Finally, we arrive...
I've always had a thing for these... This one appears to be a 1954 Nash Statesman sedan...
This one appears to be a 1931 Buick...
Here's the hermetically sealed 1975 Chevy convertible...
  1934 Chevy Coupe...
One solution to a storage problem...
